Product is great for when you want to workout, but do not have time to go the gym. Quick and easy to change the weights on the dumbbells. They are a bit longer than ordinary dumbbells which may take some getting used to, but this is no longer an issue.

I am a 44 year old IT professional that also is into off-road motorcycle racing. I had been working out with exercise bands for the last year and just wasn't getting the results I wanted. I'm not the gym type (I get too distracted) and prefer to workout at home. Most of what I do doesn't require super heavy weight, so the 552's were perfect. What I really like about the SelecTech's is how quickly I can change the weights from exercise to exercise and the small amount of space they take up. The dumbbells are larger than the typical hex iron dumbbells, but the 552's are manageable. The 90lb ones on the other hand...yikes! I also like how I can offset the weights (set the dials to different settings) to target different muscles, especially for curls. They dumbbells are sturdy, well built with a comfortable rubber grip. The adjustment knobs are rubberized too so if you clank then together it doesn't feel like they will crack. Overall, I am very pleased and use them 3-5 times a week.

The greatest feature about my bowflex dumbells is being able to turn a knob and move on to a much heavier weight and/or different exercise. Sometimes I just walk by my dumbells on the stand and pick them up and start doing a few different exercise in a short amount of time, just to get a quick burn! The one thing I don't like about my dumbells is sometimes the rubber grips slide.
