I looked at other multi-weight dumbbell sets, but they were flimsy and difficult to use. I don't have room for a full complement of weights. Buy the stand, for sure, and quit picking them up off the floor a thousand times.

Great product. Worth every penny. Too many pros to list, but being able to go up in weight 2.5-5lbs at a time make increasing weight better. The grip is awesome. They are much wider than lighter weights. So some exercises might have to be adjusted to allow for the wider dumbbell.

I was hesitant at first to order the 552's and thought they'd be too light for me. I'm 6'4" tall and 250 lbs. and after 3 months of use these dumbbells couldn't have been more perfect! The 1090's would've been too bulkly to use for most of the exercises I was doing. You'd only need the 1090's if your doing heavy dumbbell presses intead of using a barbell. You won't regret this purchase!
