I love the ease of dialing your weight selection. I've been using these for about a month. I didn't purchase the stand and find that I really don't need it. Sometimes I need to make sure the lb's match so they don't lockup. I do hear the weights move slightly on the bar when your doing some exercises but they are not going to fall off. The locking mechanism seems solid.

The Selecttech 552 dumbbells are a great addition to my home gym. I don't have space for a set of hex dumbbells from 5 to 50 pounds (10 different sets of 2), plus the 552's are less than half the cost of hex dumbbells. These dumbbells are comfortable to use and are fast and easy to change weight.
