I absolutely love this product. I recently started a fitness program where I surprised myself and outgrew the weights I already had making this product seem like a great investment. I've seen other dumbbells where you need to screw on separate plates to build up to the weight you need. That would just waste so much time when you need a different weight for each exercise! These are so simple & keep the workout going. My only complaint is that they are too long which makes certain exercises more difficult to perform than with traditional dumbbells. Other than that, they're perfect! A little pricey, but sturdy & hoping that I will get my money's worth over the many years I plan to use them.

After I setup my 552 with the stand, I found a spot in my closet on the ground floor of my home to slide it into. The adjustable weights are of course my favorite aspect, but a close second is the ergonomics. The grip is comfortable, the dials are easy to manipulate, and the stand is at a good height to lift. I enjoy lifting the weights in the morning and afternoon when I come home from work. Once I start lifting, I just wanna keep on lifting because they are so comfortable to lift and strangely fun to use the dials to increase/ decrease the weight. Due to its comfort and variability, the 552 promotes usage and, in turn, good health and physical conditioning.

I bought it for P90X. Previously, I used cap dumbells. They worked good but I needed many of them (which I didn't have) and I only had 5 pound increments. With Bowflex I can challenge myself by increasing 2.5 pounds. That doesn't sound like much but it is perfect for a 58 year old. Also, the stand really makes it easy to change and use.
