As a casual user, I never used weights before I retired. Now I believe the SelectTech 552 set is the best resistance training equipment I have ever used. I tend to use them more often than any other type of equipment I've used in the past because of the convenience and quick results - all in the comfort of my home. Thanks Bowflex for developing such a great product. I would highly recommend this product to anyone at any age or fitness level.

It's a fantastic concept, and a good implementation. I'd like to see it brought to the next level, with a greater weight range, smaller footprint, and somewhat sturdier feel (I'm hesitant using these for over-the-head exercises). Great product... I love the innovation!

This is my second set of 552s. I took advantage of the stand/552s offer to get a stand for my 1090s and sold my old 552s to a very happy friend. I've been using SelectTech weights for 3 years and never had any issues with the system. The stand assembly should count as a full workout but I wouldn't buy the weights without the stand again.

I am a 40 year old male with two young children which means that I do not have the time for long workouts every day. I workout when I have time and my focus is toning and moderate building as opposed to massive growth. The SelectTech Dumbbells are a good solution for this. Changing weight amounts is quick and easy and the dumbbells are pretty well designed. A neat feature is the ability to dial more weight on one side so that rotation or flexing during a rep really focuses on the intended muscle. If I have one con, it is that the dumbbells are a bit long. However, I see this as necessary in having the weight span from 5 to 52.5 lbs which will fit the workout needs of almost anyone. I recommend using the matching stand which holds the dumbbells at a convenient height for adjusting and lifting. Good product.
