Love the select mechanism! On a few exercises they are longer than a fixed weight but has not been an issue. They are also well balanced so not akward to use. The size is amazing love how compact it is.

Dont worry about the size affecting certain exercises

I waited for years before breaking down and buying these. Instead I wasted money buying individual free weights which take up a ton of room....With the 552's I can replace all of those and take up 90% less space! Also, I was worried about certain exercises (Ex: Shoulder Press) being restricted because of the size of the dumbbells....well this is not a worry! I can do all my exercises I want to and one thing that I did not plan for was the size actually assists me in some exercises because it makes me hold proper form! My only real issue with these are that they should come with the stand!!!! Or at least provide the stand a discounted rate because you really HAVE to have the stand with these or you are bending over (horrible for back) every time you need to set them down or change weight.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Strengthens
Cons: Should come with the stand for a reduced price!

I have to admit. I was completely skeptical about these dial a weight dumbbells. I thought they would be too bulky and to heavy to use for strength training, but after receiving them and trying them out, I am sold! The weight is very accurate and they really are easy to handle.
Pros: Accurate Weight, Compact, Good Grip
