They work great, no doubt about it. If I HAD to come up with something I didn't like about these dumbbells...it's that it takes time to get used to putting them back exactly where they need to go (on the tray). But that NO WAY cancels out the benefits of this system!!!

The amount of space they save is probably its best attribute. They can be placed in any corner of the room and easily brought out when needed. It's that ease of use that MAKE YOU want to work out more. Who wants to drag 20 dumbbells out, just to work out, then drag them back into a closet?

I originally planned to purchase a universal home gym, but while researching, I kept reading about the advantages and versatility of dumbbell workouts. As I looked further into the types of dumbbells available, the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells kept coming up. I was very hesitant to purchase these dumbbells because I had seen them at a local sporting goods store and they seldom were in working condition, but most of the reviews that I read stated that if they are handled properly, they work fine. This is absolutely true!! I use these dumbbells almost everyday and have not had any issues with them at all. Changing weights is very easy and actually makes working out enjoyable. I really like the balance and feel of these dumbbells and the overall length does not bother me at all. I am extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend adding the stand and 5.1 bench for a complete package that allows for a convenient and versatile workout. After an extensive amount of research, I am convinced that this purchase was a much better value than the home gym systems I previously was considering.

I use the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells for P90X workouts and they are easy to use and you can change the weight settings quick enough to keep up with the program so you don't have to pause the video. They work really well
