[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an a small apartment and just do mot have the space for a full rack of weights. The "Bowflex 552", is perfect for limited space and ease of access. The adjustable dumbells allow me a range of workouts without having to travel to the gym. My only regret is that I did not buy the 90lb. Adjustable Dumbell set.

I have a rack of free weights but they were in the way and only went up to 25 pounds. I needed more weight but did not want to have more free weights to trip over. Bowflex gives me up to 52.5 pounds of weight with a smaller footprint. The weights are well built as expected and easy to change the weights quickly. I have purchased other products from Bowflex such as the max trainer and the Bowflex revolution and have never been disappointed by their products they are all well built and stand up to constant use. I will not hesitate to buy another product from Bowflex when the need arises.

Replace multiple dumbells & save space!

Pro I use this product currently with P90x program. And it is suffient for that use. Since I bought these dumbells I have never missed going to an actual gym. Also, you don't have to wait for others to finish using the weights. Your muscles don't know the difference between gym dumbells and bowflex dumbells. Cons - Needs to be handled with care as it has plastic bits that can break. In some exercises you end of stopping earlier so you can safely put down the dumbells. - The locking mechanism jams occasionally, however, with some patience it does start working again. The first time I thought the dumbell was broken. - Sometimes it does not slide back into the tray and needs to be wiggled around to get it back in. - It is expensive compared to some of the other options out there. Overall: Getting adjustable dumbells was a good choice and I would recommend it. If the boxflex dumbells serve me for two years before breaking, I would consider them a very good investment. Considering that they would have helped me offset the cost of a gym membership plus hassle of getting to the gym. I also did purchase some Resistance Bands to complement these dumbells. And if you are starting out, I would say start with the resistance bands and then move up to the boxflex or other adjustable dumbells.

Cons: Dumbell To Wide, Flimsy, Limited Use, Locking Knob Jams

The fact that you can change the weight by simply turning a wheel is the greatest feature. You save a lot of space and the feel and grip of these is simply the best. Nothing negative about this product.

This is a good product. It's easy to use and take no space. The only bad thing is that they are a litle bit to big and the plastic convering is easy to scratch when placing/removing them from the stand. It's a little bit expensive for dumbells but less expensive than bying a complete set of dumbells.
