I bought the weights, along with the stand and bench. I intended to use this for all my full body work outs. In the time that I have used it the only downside that I see is that they are a bit long. It can feel a big awkward if you can't properly control them or depending on what exercises you are doing. However that definitely does not take away anything in my book. The compact size of the weights, along with the practical uses, definitely overshadow this downside. They are the perfect weight - unless you are a super athelete I don't foresee you being able to comfortably do exercises with 52+ LBS - esp for those who casually work out. I can do heavier weights, but that's only for certain exercises. I supplement my regular gym workouts with these weights, which saves time. They are also very well made, I have thoroughly enjoyed using them thus far and will use them for at least the next couple of years.

I can't list any cons simply because I don't feel like I've used them enough yet. However I am beyond excited to get started using them in a few weeks! I cannot wait to lift HEAVIER without having to take up so much space in my house! They fit perfectly in the stands and the stand is sturdy so I don't have to worry about my kids messing with them and getting hurt. I am really, REALLY excited about these!

Great set of dumbbels. I have the 552 and the 1090 sets. I like the handle on the 552 better as they are rubber coated and softer on your hands. The 1090's are all metal and studed so gloves are recommended when using these. When using the dumbbells under 15lbs i think it is bulky so i bought a set of regular 5,10 and 15lb dumbbells which make certain exercise easier to use. Other then that i would recommend this to anyone as it is easy and conventional which is exactly what these dumbbells are meant for.

So far I have found that these are simple to use and serve their purpose well. I have only had them a few weeks, so I cannot attest to the long term quality of the product - though I am looking forward to using them for some time. The only negative feedback I have is regarding the length of the dumbbells themselves. They seem longer than traditional gym weights I have used. And, during certain excercies, it can be a hinderance.

At first I was intimidated at the appearance of these dumbells. Once I put on the cool stands I realized that these are multi-usesful, easy to changes the weight and of high quality! I now use these exclusively for all my weight training needs! Love them!
