Pros and Cons

I use these while doing a weight training program that requires the use of a bunch of different weights in succession, sometimes for multiple lifts in sets (giant sets, multi-sets, power sets, super sets). It takes a few extra seconds to get them docked and changed over, but I think that's a fair trade for having so many different weights all in one compact little area. There's a lot of speed increase to knocking out your sets when you have individual dumbbells, but there's a lot of space efficiency, keeping you from straining yourself while leaning funny on your bench to push and pull your dumbbells around the floor to get them where you need them while doing your sets. Everything has a pro and con list, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons with these. Another thing to think about; you can't use these for handles while doing pushups like you can with solid dumbbells... which makes you have to change your stance up when doing weighted burpees, or anything similar. Be mindful of the capabilities of these weights, make simple adjustments to the way you use them vs regular dumbbells, and you'll be real glad you got a set of these. Also, the 2.5lb increase (as opposed to the 5lb allows for wimpies like me to be able to increase weights more frequently, working the absolute hardest I can, getting the most out of my gym time without bashing my head in. Really, it just allows me to raise weight, pushing myself more, without having to commit to a weight I'm not positive I can muster up the muscle to realistically push).
After having weights strewn across my family room I decided to invest in the Selecttech weights. I'm so glad that I did. They are easy to use and have a small footprint.
Garage workouts in my semi full gym. This Selecttech 552 added a level that I needed. Works great, easy quick adjustments. Almost a month now and looking forward to years of continued use... Highly recommend them. I am 69 yrs old...
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Multifunctional, Targets Muscles
I've seen these use on a lot of the Beachbody workouts. I like the fact that they have 2.5 increments that when trying to go a little heavier 5 lbs is too much especially when trying to got from 5 lb to 10 lb.
I use the product for arms and shoulders. It is a good product because I can transition from weight to weight easily without having problems. The grip is a little small so my thumb tends to get scratched by the ends.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Multifunctional, Targets Muscles
my wife purchased these for me as a birthday gift. they are compact and easy to use. the grip is nice and it feels balanced. the only thing that you have to get used to is the dumbbell is wide to accommodate multiple settings. overall i am really impressed.
