I LOVE these dumbbells. I tried many adjustable dumbbell sets in stores and found that most were either difficult to adjust, didn't have a large enough weight or were quite loud during use. These dumbbells don't have any of those flaws. They adjust very easily and are at a great height since I have the stand for it as well. The grip is comfortable, the weights feel secure in my hands. The only con I can mention is that even with a low weight, the size of the dumbbells remains the same. This inhibits some motion close to the body such as tricep kickbacks. However, this doesn't overcome the great amount of pros for this set. After seeing my set, I have three friends that have already purchased their own!
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Easy to adjust, Quiet
Cons: Long With Short Weights

Bowflex always creates user friendly products. I use my SelectTechs at home when I need to get my weight workout in and don't have time for a full gym sessions. My SelectTechs are compact and take up very little space in my small home. The wights are easy to change and slide in and out of the stand smooth and easy. Thank you for another great fitness product.

My wife and I share the dumbbells and use the DVD along with paper manual to educate ourselves. My wife is 103 lbs and 4'11.5", I'm 190 lbs and 5'11.5", the deciding factor for our purchase of the 552 dumbbells was the ease of use for both of us since we have such different physiques. My wife can easily select the desired weight needed for a thorough workout and when I'm ready to work out I can obtain an equal workout simply by switching the weight selection.
