Great design, great product

My SelectTech dumbbell set is among the best-designed products I've ever owned. I've been using them several times a week for two or three years now. I work out at home, in a city townhouse, and don't have "extra" space. In gyms I've used in the past, the racks of dumbbells took up about 30 square feet of floor space, compared to the 4-6 square feet of space these need. I bought the rack, and am glad to have that. When I bought the set, the rack came with casters, so the whole deal could easily be moved when necessary -- which seems in keeping with the space-saving design. I see that the current version doesn't have the casters. I'm sure Bowflex had a reason for the change, but I'm glad to have the wheels. Have not seen any sign of mechanical problems, or the "delicateness" some reviewers have referred to. But I don't drop them or throw them around; I never did that with any dumbbells.

I usually bicycle to control diabetes, but being a shift worker working nights the SelectTech 552 allows me to still burn some calories without riding on those days when I am a little tired to head out on the bike. . I can select different weights to allow shoulder to heal without pain on one side. While maintaining strength on other side.
