Half a workout, Extra hassle returning.

When I got the XTREME Home Gym, I used it to work out for a couple of weeks. Because the resistance doesn't actually kick in until you are halfway through the motion, you dont get a great workout, and it doesn't get the whole muscle. I contacted the Bowflex team to return the product which they were very helpful. However, after returning the machine, I've had to call multiple times, each time taking over 2 hours, to figure out why my refund hasnt come. I still haven't gotten a refund and its been over a month since they received my machine. Dont go through the hassle, get free weights instead.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Not Effective

I use my selecttech 552 dumbells more than my extreme se home gym. They are so easy to use and change weight the turn of a knob. Awesome looks and design.
Pros: Accurate Weight, Compact, Easy To Use, Easy toto the, Good Grip, Space Saving

I use the 552 series for stability exercises, and cross-fit conditioning workouts. I wasted a lot of time debating on getting these. They are well designed and easy to use. not just the the weight adjustment but the way they feel in my hand they are sturdy and comfortable. I bought a set of bands before these and tried using they for some time but they just didn't feel right. I am glad I ended up picking a set of these up. I would recommend them to anyone.

I use these dumbbells as part of a strength training routine at home and also to just do light exercise while watching TV to make better use of the time. The dial action to change weights is smooth and the weights lock in perfectly every time. The dumbbells are larger than you'd have with individual weight sets and a bit bulky, but easy to get used to and a small tradeoff for the convenience and space saving. Disclosure: I got an email asking me to review the product (which I purchased at full price). My review is based on my honest opinion of the product that I wanted to buy after researching multiple options and have been using for a couple of weeks now. #sweepstakes
