I use this product daily. It's much easier then going to the gym. Pairing the Dumbbells with the bow flex bench is a great combo. Losing weight and adding good muscle.
Perfect for Super Set style workouts as you can change the weight between the different exercises easily resulting in a smooth transition and minimal time delays.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Multifunctional
This is a great piece of equipment. You can quickly adjust the amount of weight and target the right amount for each muscle group. One word of caution: get the stand too!!! Setting them on the floor is the wrong way to go. If you do not have a shelf or some other wAy to elevate the set, you will hurt your back !
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Targets Muscles
I've downsized from a house to a 3 bedroom condo and had to get rid of an Olympic weight set. No problem; there's a good & affordable gym down the block. Then came COVID. I'm older and won't risk additional exposure, so I'm not going there. Tried yoga as a substitute, but it's not the same. Then I came across the dumbbells. The Bowflex weight bench stores upright and the dumbbells take up very little space. I'm able to fit them and an exercise bike in one of the bedrooms. I can do just about everything with these dumbbells that I could with the Olympic set. I only miss the gym's calf machines if you're used to heavy weights. Otherwise I get complete workouts. Dumbbells let you do a lot that you can't with free weights & a barbell. It's very easy to change weights on them; the dumbbells feel balanced (though larger than traditional dumbbells). Bowflex machines have a strong reputation for quality & I have no reason to think that the dumbbells are any less well made. Finally, I bought the package of the weight bench, the dumbbells, and the stand. They're all very well made. They're not intuitive to assemble, but the Bowflex people did an excellent job labeling everything so that it's straightforward to follow the instructional diagrams. There's one thing I don't like about the stand; other reviewers have noted it too. Their base straps onto the stand. Some s say that they can't get their hands fully around the dumbbells to lift them. I haven't had this problem but I've got toddler grandkids and I'm not sure that they're as secure as I'd like if the kids were fooling around in there. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied.
Pros: Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens
I do like the product but they're too bulky. It's a challenge to do certain exercises. another issue is that when placing them back in the stand they must be lined up perfectly. Sometimes when you pull them out they shift and it makes it difficult to place them back in. Also, after only using them a few times the grips are really slippery making it hard to hold on too. Do they work, yes. I was very happy with the M5 I purchased in March but the 522's, not so much. Maybe I should have opted for the newer version. They look slimmer. Thanks, Al
