You get what you pay for

It was a little scary to spend this much on an espresso machine. I used it for a couple of days and was regretting it. However, after a short "break-in" period, it began to produce some of the best coffee I've ever made at home. I am a self-proclaimed "coffee snob" - and I just stick to plain coffee/americano/espresso. The occasional milk-based drink - which I haven't attempted with this machine yet.
If you are expecting a barista-quality machine at home for making great coffee, make the investment. In one of his final interviews, Gord Downie said "life is too short for bad coffee".
I would recommend this to a friend!
