Very Noisy

This ice maker came with a new construction house. It makes great clear ice. However, it is unbelievably noisy. For about 1 minute each ice cycle the machine makes a very loud buzzing sound that reminds me of a vibrating valve. The sound is so bad I have to turn it off at night so we can sleep.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice for the center

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker was brought a few weeks ago and I am happy to have replaced the old one. The old ice maker was 11 years old and had stop cutting ice. This ice maker is more up to date and quiet. The staff have really enjoy the new machine.

Great Ice Machine

Our experience started off a little rough but ended well. We did a remodel at our summer home late fall and the ice machine was back ordered. When it did finally arrive, we had it installed but never fired it up because by that time we were closing for the season. Fast forward to the spring. Powered it up, water supply attached and she was making ice nicely. Then the door alarm started going off! We opened and shut the door, checked the level of the unit, checked the "gap", powered on and off to reset but all to no avail. Put in a service call and they sent someone promptly. The technician could find nothing wrong. But while we were there, the alarm would continue to sound. My husband was talking to the store owner who we purchased from and he mentioned about the magnetic strip on the lower panel of the door. My husband took a look at it and sure enough, it was not lined up properly. He re-seated the tape strip and voila! No more alarm.
So far we are very happy with our machine. It is early in the season but it seems like it will make plenty of ice for coolers and drinks.

GREAT ICE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially wanted the "sonic" ice maker, but it did not fit into our budget. I have to say that the Electrolux ice maker does not disappoint. The ice is the best and I don't miss the sonic ice at all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this ice maker a little over 2 months ago. It quit working about a month ago. Repairman came out and got it working, then it failed again this week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Ice Machine

This is so much more quiet than any other ice machine that I have owned. The ice is clear and makes enough ice that we can fill our ice chests when we need too. Highly recommend.
