Not as much light as I expected. It drained the AlpenGlow light battery, used as it's power souce, very quickly. One of the two strings I bought broke the second day after using it and will not work at all. Not what I was expecting at all. No not recommend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Versatile and sexy. The string light is perfect for over the campground cooking area or in the tent. They give off an incredible amount of light and the built in hooks provide many options for hanging. I plan to use this over my bbq at home as well.

I haven't used them camping yet, nut they have worked very well at home. They make a very small package when wrapped up so they are easy to carry and stow.
