The material is very femsey. When you lift the top to clean it wobbles and is not very strong.

Works great, just cheap "Ferritic" stainless steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an ASE Master Tech since 1978, I have seen many type of metals in my time repairing vehicles and an accomplished welder.. This one takes the cake. Retired & empty nester's, this was big money and we cook. Bought 3 Frigidaire product together and I installed. Now, 6 months out of warranty, the surface of stainless steel can not be cleaned, regardless of the method or product used. Magnets do NOT stick to stainless unless it is "Ferritic", but all 3 of our product do. That tells me that there is no chromium, nickel or molybdenum (Or little of it) to look like stainless. Either way, it makes my wife mad. We cleaned immediately after cooking every time, but just looked worse and worse. It stains, browns, streaks, smears and diss-colors. Would not buy again! My magnet, in my hand will not stick to my 14' garage bench, and it is cleaner than the cooktop. Wow! I should just drive down the street and toss $20 out the window.
What did you think would happen, when people put food & heat on that metal. I get it...A 12 step program to say "NO" to real stainless steel...What do you cook on?

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

This cooktop is the worst I have ever had. It is flimsy, cheap looking and the heating elements don't seat properly. I just bought this unit in December and am looking to replace it 4 months later.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Granite installed cooktop

We were looking for a coil type electric cooktop that we could install in a granite counter. Frigidaire has the only one we could use. We bought it and had it installed. It fits perfect and works great. Love it!!!
