Good Value.

This stove top was purchased to replace a ceramic smooth top. A burner had failed on the smooth top & it was going to be as expense to repair as purchasing this coil style stove top, plus if a burner goes out on the coil top, I can purchase at a reasonable price & replace it myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality of cooktop!!

Five cooktops were delivered and they were all damaged one way or another!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does its job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this month ago because i had to replace a Tappan 50 yr old top and this was the best offered I am satisfied and it is doing the job but seems to have a different level of heat than the old one had

Frigidaire 32" Stainless Steel Electric Cooktop

I bought this to replace my circa 1959 Frigidaire turquoise cooktop because it stopped working. After the new cooktop was installed, it was determined that my electrical supply was the problem and not the cooktop. There is a HUGE difference in the quality of these two cooktops. My new cooktop is built with very thin metal and the cooking elements don't always sit evenly on the stove. The installer told me that's just the way appliances are made these days--even the high-end brands. Given all that, the stove does look good and gets the job done.

Not happy with the metal

I bought this a few months ago and I am very happy with the range except the stainless steel looks as if it were painted on there. It scratches SO EASILY. And I am very careful with it and use the spray made for stainless steel to clean it and I do not use anything abrasive on it. But I do like the fact that the burners cool down so quickly, that is a great feature.

Plenty of room

I like the layout of this 32" cooktop. It allows for very large pans and stock pots. We upgraded from a 70s model 32" just like this one but in white. I like everything about the new SS version better except one thing. The coil burners are much, much slower to heat up than the older model. I would have thought that it would be faster, not slower.
