Bought the Venture 65 cooler and two trays. For many years I owned a Coleman 100 quart, worked well for my family of four. We found the single tray that came with Coleman was not enough to keep a weeks worth of meats out of the cooler water. Looked at different solutions and just decided to double bag every thing that would not fit in the single tray. When it was time to replace the Coleman, knowing coolers have improved dramatically, I looked at and researched all of the big NEW names, like Yeti, which is the North Face of coolers (outdoor retail people will understand). Why the Otterbox? really it is rugged, capacity is true to the rating (I am engineer, I filled it with water, and measured), and the latches blow away the rubber straps on the Yeti, and it's construction is top line. Those things are going to die in the UV. Back to the trays. Thick, durable and two fit great in the 65. Unless your a Vegan, and you do't take 4lbs of bacon on a car camping trip, then think about keeping you tofu dry! While your at it, get the separator too. Also comes in handy with my 30ft camper. We do a lot of "DRY" camping and to maximize battery life, (solar does not do well in the woods of New England) I can eliminate use of the fridge. About me. I have been Camping, Hunting, Kayaking, Hiking, Mountaineering, Rock and Ice Climbing for 45 years. Been working part time for EMS for almost 20.
Tried a Yeti that I borrowed from a friend own a couple pelicans which both do a good job but started looking for a larger cooler for longer trips all I read about the new otterbox 64qt was very positive and the price was more then competitive. Being very familiar with thier phone cases I decided to give it a go. Definitely the right decision. When you close the lid you can hear it seal. I bought one of the dividers which is great couse it turns the cooler into kind of a fridge one side for more freezer type items the other for things needing to be kept cool. Plus it keeps the ice more compact. With a 5lb ice bar on the bottom covered with ice on a 2 week journey it wasn't tell day 9 that I had to add a 7lb bag of ice which easily completed the trip. I'm very impressed the yeti kept ice for about 6 days the pelican I get 6 to 7 days which is amazing compared to the old igloos and such that maybe made it a day. Bottom line is the otterbox is hands down the big winner. Priced as well or better than the others seals tight offers several add ons that are handy such as the onboard bottle opener. Well done, I love it highly recommend it an easy 5 Stars.
The tray takes up to much room , needs to be about half as deep so you can still fit bottles under it
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this cooler tray so that we'd have two in our new Otterbox cooler...the cooler & the trays were such an amazing purchase! Now we've got ample room in the top of our cooler for all items that need to stay cold but not get wet, and more than enough space still on the bottom for everything else! On top of it all, the cooler stays cold for days on end while we camp out in the middle of nowhere. :) Thanks so much, Otterbox!
