Developed permanent pink border around whole scree

I bought this monitor 3 years and 8 months ago and while the display is ultra-crisp and likable due to MacOS integration, the display developed a permanent pink border that won't go away. I decided to upgrade to the 27" hope it lasts longer!!

This product is definitely the best 4K consumer grade monitor on the market, and it’s actually on the edge of pro. I think this is the top level of the current monitor technology until the OLEDs and microLEDs become widely available.
Extremely bright, stunning colors, invisible pixels, very little ghosting and acceptable contrast level for an LCD panel.
It works perfectly with MacBook Early 2015, even the refresh rate reduced to 48 Hz.
But unfortunately, even the monitor has an ambient light sensor, there is not an option for adjusting brightness automatically on the macOS display preferences interface (High Sierra, Version 10.13.4).
Lastly, be aware of the three port USB-C hub on the back of the monitor is limited to 2.0 speeds because of the bandwidth limitations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I'm being honest, I only bought this monitor because it was the least expensive one guaranteed to work flawlessly with my MacBook Pro. I'm not a tech person and I don't care to spend time researching specs to find the perfect item. I want to plug it in and have it work. This monitor does that. It has a beautiful, clear picture and its size is great for drafting.

Brilliant image, easy set-up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking for a high quality near pro monitor for my new MacBookPro led me to find several good options but none were really tuned to the laptop like this one is. The colors and contrast are excellent out of the box. And the screen size is perfect for my desk. The only difficulty I had was updating the LG software which failed the first few times I used the monitor, however it finally took. The multi-monitor mode looks interesting but I can't see any reason I would use it.
