This is would be my second router that hds my security cameras and it was inexpensive easy to uae and way more advanced than the other brands i looked. Why would anyone buy anything less than ASUS

I bought this two handle my 300 Wi-Fi speed and my 14 devices I use in the home everything worked good until one day it just kept dropping the signal would not hold it for more than a minute it would not let me update or even get into it without registering it again because my old registration did not work in activating the device anyway since then it's working great again and I am happy with it I don't like that you need a cell phone to hook up a router

How Good are ASUS RT-AC66UB1 Install Instructions?

I was able to follow the instructive data (supplied with my new ASUS Router) enough to achieve satisfactory operation with one exception: I completely missed the fact that the 3 and 5 speed channels each had their own separate passwords "that I should change to ones of my own choice". I would have been better off with blank p/w spaces and a short reminder to use good p/w practice in inserting my own passwords. Other than that, I found it achievable to set up my ASUS Router to cable-connect directly to my Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit Dell Desktop and establish a secure Intranet broadcast with my imac desktop in another room. Connecting signals between my iphone 8x and the ASUS router went well.
You may be interested in the length of time it took me to do all this: The PC part went most quickly - about 6 hours. The imac, inherited from my wife of many years, took the longest, as I had to learn imac internet setup from "scratch" - as a result, I spent a couple of days getting a LAN broadcast securely connected.

I am a long standing Asus customer. I bought this router basically to replace my ASUS router from 2013. The router still functioned properly and is being used as a repeater. I can testify that Asus routers are built to last. Very satisfied customer to the 1310 years would be 2023

Very happy so far with this Router! it does accomplish most needs I have other than issues using NORDvpn and getting very slow connection speeds. Other than that it is a great unit and works very well. I will trust ASUS for my future needs.

For Basic setup its easy just needs to follow the instruction and the default usually works just fine. Further configuration a little bit more complicated when use the GUI interface and needs more computer knowledge.
