I really like the new light a life lights. They are much more versatile than the prior version. The option to use as a spotlight or lantern is great. They put out a LOT of light. Two are more than enough to light an entire tent to the point of reading stories to kids. A good light.
I bought this only a few days ago and thought it was so cool I wanted to show my girl friend. I put the light-a-life and my sherpa 50 on my seat next to me and was off to her house, she lives in the boonies. All of a sudden just as making a switch back corner,,, boom! flat tire. Night time, no one around for miles and I'm thinking no light and yo there's bear out here. Then it dawned on me I had my Sherpa 50 and my new Light-A-Life with me. The light lit everything up better than I thought it would and for quite a while too. I changed my tire with the help of Goal Zero's battery and light. I was alone that night but there was so much light I felt more secure and could see all around me. I'm glad I had that gear with me, really glad. So now, guess who wants one too... Well I know what to get my girl friend for Christmas now. ; ) Thanks Goal Zero.
This new light is great. A lot of thought was put into it, and it all worked. This little light is all about the compact design. No hokey frills that you won't use. It won't disappoint.
I bought 1pce 3 weeks ago and a second o ne today. It is very easy to use, compact and provides good lighting. I would suggest to put an on and off switch and to make the branch some 2" longer.
I have used this light for two months now and I love it. I can't wait to buy more of these lights to chain them together. If your thinking about getting it do!!! Besides using it for camping I also use it while working on cars. I have a big snap-on under the hood light and with the car plug that comes with it I plug it in to the cigarette outlet and it will magnet to any part of the car I need to work on, it's also a lot brighter then my snap on light.
