good light emission NO ON-OFF SWITCH

bought severl of these for various uses due to the great design but will be returning them all due to no on-off switch. who wants to unplug the light each time to turn it off!

Good keyboard light

...and way cheaper than buying a backlit keyboard! I agree with other reviewers that the bendable neck needs to be a little longer to position it to avoid glare from the screen.

Needs a dimmer/switch

The light is really cute-- should have been perfect for an extra desk light off my computer, a night lit in the kitchen, reading lights in the bed, and emergency lights. Plenty bright for my needs. Unfortunately, you need to unplug it to shut it off, and there is no way to dim it when you don't want full output. This makes it pretty much useless for my intended application. Ad a dimmer/switch to the end of it, and make the gooseneck 3-4 inches longer and I will buy a dozen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this by impulse because I like the design, and it turned out to be a great booklight. I can hook it up to my blackberry charger, i-pod charger, or laptop. Lights are arranged linear so it is much better than other booklights that make a circular lighted area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

bright light but won't take much abuse

I used the luna on two long paddling trips, 125 miles on the green river in utah, and 85 miles on the current river in Missouri, and the luna worked great. I used it with the guide 10 charger for lighting up the camp and inside the tent. I could tell this light would not take much abuse so I have been careful with it. I also used it with my laptop and it works well with lighting up the keyboard. It would be great if it were a couple of inches longer for the laptop but that's not what i bought it for. It's a great light and my friends liked it so much, they bought themselves one also. My Luna has been trouble-free during my many trips on the rivers for a couple of years now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

the light was useless to me, I bought the battery recharger and it already has a light, so why would i need another light to carry. It would be great if the solar panels had pockets for the accessories

Thoughtfully designed light source. Bendable cable holds form and allows directional use of light. Light diodes provide soft light suitable for reading or general backlighting for a small area (tent?). Device is small and slender enough to easily store/carry.
