I have a 100 (hiking), a 150 (stationary camping) and 1250 (home mid-sized device backup) and added the 400 Lithium to the lineup. The 400 Lithium is near the same weight as the older 150 and can handle base camping power needs far better. Stringing lights, several cell phones, even a single heating blanket (drawing 120w) to warm that sleeping bag up before a cold night. It is losing about 1% per week idle. I plug all of them in for 1 day a month anyway to keep them topped off. So far so good. Very pleased.

I bought the yeti 400 with two boulder 30 panels. My husband uses a CPAP machine. He is able to use it all night long and recharge it the next day. He takes it everywhere we go just in case the power goes out. Thank you GZ Team!!

Supported 4 adults for 10 days at the Jamboree

I bought this kit so that myself and 3 other adults of our Boy Scout Jamboree troop could charge our phones and laptops at our campsite during the national jamboree.
It did that and supported several desperate scouts with an emergency charge. After a cloudy day I did have to carry up to the adult lounge and plug it in for a few hours, but overall it worked very well. The second last day the built-in inverter blew a fuse or something but once I got home they cheerfully exchanged it for me.
I also want to add that I did have a scout goofing off trip over and rip apart the panel to Yeti cable. As luck would have it Goal Zero had a booth at the Jamboree and once I told them my story the Goal Zero employee returned with a replacement cable free of charge.
Seems like a great company that really believes and supports their product.
I bought it for portability and for the idea of having power when I get out of the house. Much like an external battery pack for cellphones but this Yeti 400 is bigger than that and could power more of my gadgets. It has potential for my future plans. Price maybe a little high, hoping it would serve me well.

Great For Van Life

My wife and I mounted a 100W panel on the roof of our Westfalia (check out @52weeksago) and ran the extra long chord through the top (with some silicone around the hole so it wouldn't leak) and ran our small fridge as well as lights and computer charges and it worked perfect. We always thought we were going to run out, but never did! It was just perfect for what we needed. Very reliable, and small enough to bring into a library to charge without raising eyebrows if we had spent all day parked under a tree (no sun) ;) Great product, and great service at their storefront too- we had to switch a suitcase panel for a flat one and the lady there was super nice and way way helpful. Highly recommend making the drive just because they're so nice and informative. Also, WAY easier than any other alternative, and more durable than their competition.

I bought this a month ago and i'm annoyed that I did. I also bought a rock pals 600w for cheaper and its more battery capacity, power and better input charging. Goal zero has AC pass through which is nice. I live in a sprinter van and I have a zero 400, rock pals 600, a Jackery. I ran the rockpals and yeti dead today put them on charge at 8:30pm with my generator. my rock pals was fully charged at 11:30pm. It's currently 12:10 my yeti is only 48% charged. Yeti and Jackery are just junk now compared to the new companies. Fine the Yeti could last longer (MAYBE) save yourself the headache buy a rockals, Ecoflow, or bluetti. you may spend more but you will be happy you did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use this in remote fine art photoshoots. It keeps my critical equipment juiced up and ready to go. I wish the panels were more affordable though so I could get a faster charge without spending a ton on panels.
I bought this unit to provide power at a storage unit location for an e-commerce startup venture. We use it to power a photo tent, charge laptop computers and a variety of other electronic items. So far so good after 1 week.
