It might be a great grill... when works

A new PCU was sent and installed in an attempt to fix the SC connection issue (from the app) as well as the burner blowout timing and 1st burner control knob's illumination the didn't work. None of the current issues have been resolved with the new PCU
1. Cannot move past the CB-GRILL_DADO (Android device says "internet not available" for the network. "Not Connected to Grill" popup message prevents moving forward in the setup
a. Have tried resetting grill using SmartChef bottom (30 seconds)
b. Have tried cycling Dado light (30 seconds)
c. Confirmed wifi is on 2.4ghz
After reading numerous reviews on the innovative features of this grill I purchased it over the Webber Genesis II. I have yet to experience the innovation of this grill and its SmartChef features, and I'm beginning to regret not going with the Webber grill
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very smart

I love the grill. The SmartChef takes all the guess work out of grilling. The steaks and chicken breasts turn out perfect every time. I am looking forward to trying other things.

I like the way it colds the meat and I dont have the flare ups like some other grills

A whole new level for Backyard!

At first, the grill is very intimidating to a novice griller such as myself. But after using the Char-Broil SmartChef TRU-IR 3 Burner gas grill I feel like a pro. I have to admit that the set up of the thing is a little complicated and frustrating, but once it is set up and connected, that's right, connected to the internet then look out. I have gone from never using a grill before to feeling like an expert in just under a weeks time. My family is really loving the new found cook in the household. I have been using the app on my smartphone to grill in the yard and everything is cooked just right. Nothing burnt or overcooked, everything is grilled just like everyone wants their food, and in a family like mine that's important because everyone wants their stuff just a bit different from the other... I love this grill and recommend this grill.
Also, I have to say that this item was sent as a free sample in exchange for my review.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfectly grilled stakes!

Love the smart functions of this grill. Bought it during the Labor Day weekend and I was able to figure it out in one morning. By the time my guest arrived, I was able to cook perfect medium and medium rare stakes simultaneously!! Family could not believe that my grill was talking to the internet. But at the end they were believers and loved the stakes!
The only negative is that it does not come with a rack to hook my stuff so I had to improvise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i bought this for a July 4 get togethrer and spemt 2 evening putting it togeter i was pretty happy on how it all went together until it was time to fire it up
