Not for real cooks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a JennAir electric cooktop that lasted for 37 years and was fantastic. This new one is leagues below it: cycling on-off heat is a pain when making sauces—or even making scrambled eggs; the glass top always looks streaky-what cook has time to POLISH a cook surface after every meal? And the glass scratches when a pan is shaken. Pretty but not a good kitchen tool. Imagine having a table saw with pretty bows but which can’t cut!!
Pros: Quality Construction
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Hard To Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Jennair Glass Cooktop with downdraft, and I do enjoy the improvements made over the years. My only complaint is the cooktop knobs, the line showing the status of the burner, is almost invisible on the shiny surface. The line should black or some color to make it visible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave up a Thermadore down-draft cooktop for this one and am very disappointed. The vent is very weak and barely pulls steam when on high. The vent also needs to be covered due to a lot of cold air coming in through it. Cooking surfaces heat then cut off, then heat and cut off. Doesn't maintain an even heat. Food burns on the rings and is very hard to get off. Based on what's available today, it's the best of the worst. Wish I had my old one back.
