Shockingly clean dishes every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t say that I have owned all that many dishwashers in the past (4 of them) but this machine is far superior to anything I have previously owned. The first time I used it, I purposely put in a difficult cleaning job with lots of steak grease and other solidified gunk. However, I did not put in burnt to carbon food stuff in a stainless steel pot because that would be an egregious mistake on my part in the cooking process. Well everything came out squeaky clean – the cleanest I have ever seen my dishes. As a bonus, the machine is silent. I mean so quiet, it needs a light projected onto the floor to tell you that it is washing. This is quite incredible. It must be an ingenious hydro engineering.
I was surprised how useful the third rack turned out to be. Now, all the flat type items go up on the third rack, leaving the second rack free for glasses and cups. I have run auto mode and eco mode. I really don’t see the difference. Because the plates are so hot at the end of both cycles, there probably is not much of a difference in energy consumption. Although the center rack is adjustable, I have not had to adjust anything as there is plenty of space spread out over three racks.
A few things could be improved, but they just need some getting used to. The biggest issue is that the door tends to close tightly all by itself. There is no detent or crack to keep the air circulating. If you do not rinse your dishes before loading them, this can contribute to a smell problem. I do not normally get food stuck on the bottom filter as it seems to get pulverized by the cleaning action – so that does not contribute to any odor problem. So, I don’t know why people report an odor problem except with the door design could be better. A second issue is that the touch controls are easily activated, although I have never accidentally started a wash.

I bought this dishwasher a couple months ago and love it so far. It's quiet, it cleans well. Cannot say enough about the fabulous third rack. It's really quite great.

Does What it is Supposed To

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This DW replaced a previous Bosch, so I was familiar with the characteristics.
Pros: There are six unique wash cycles, which gives me flexibility. For instance, a half-load requires about 45 minutes quicker than a standard load. When I need a quick wash, I can reduce the time to 60 minutes.
The other unique aspect is the loading. On the right side, lower rack, I can rotate a set of bars to have twice the number of items (dishes). The middle and upper racks also provide flexibility. The upper rack is removable, and the middle rack is vertically adjustable for taller objects.
I like the top rack because it holds certain items that I find difficult to place in the DW, namely, jar lids.
The top control panel uses touch control rather than mechanical buttons.
Cons: Plastic does not dry very well and I usually end up hand wiping. However, I rather do this than having a Calrod heating element at the base that deforms plastic the lower rack items.

We do not know if it is running until we see the light on the floor, how cool is that? We owned this model prior to moving and could not wait to take the contractors model out and install a new BOSCH. We just could not accept any thing less. SO happy with the flawless and reliable performance.

Quiet and Efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought and installed this unit to replace another model about 6 weeks ago. We love it! It is so quiet we cannot hear it and were checking on it to make sure it was running! The red light on the floor is the indicator...as we learned. Since we have an open floor plan, the noise was a huge concern. It is flexible for stemware, tableware and cleans great! Installation was a challenge and required a longer water supply line and some effort to organize the electric connections which required connecting a pigtail to its included PVC electric box. Patience pays off.

The BEST dishwasher we've owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been needing this dishwasher my whole life. This is the best dishwasher we've ever owned. First of all, I don't know how I ever lived without that third top shelf for spatulas, tongs, big knives, and tiny bowls. It's amazing. Secondly, this dishwasher has room for ALL our dishes...everything in the sink fits in the dishwasher! Thirdly, it really does an excellent job of cleaning, and even tells you when you need to add rinse aid. Everything comes out clean and nothing needs to be redone. My husband even commented that he hasn't seen our silverware this shiny since we bought it over 20 years ago! It's the quietest machine in our house, which is a plus, too. And it's beautiful. It's really worth every penny and I've already recommended it to all my friends.
