Not like the Bosch it replaced

Our first Bosch was a very solid machine. It worked flawlessly for 10+ years. This one has been nothing but trouble. When it works the cleaning job and drying are marginal. And often the dishes are discustingiy dirty. Stay away from this expensive dud of a dish washer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet Poorly Designed Control Panel

Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher (SHPM98W75N) is very quiet and has been reliable for the last 3.6 years. Operating Instructions: I thought the operating instructions regarding stating were a little vague. It took several readings and about 20 minutes to understand the start procedure. The key is to press On/Off and then press Start. BUT before closing the door wait for a steady numeric LEDs in the Cycle Status window BEFORE closing the door. Once the door is closed verify you have a steady floor light to confirm the dishwasher is in the run mode. Control Panel - The control panel is poorly made, and the numbers rub off. For example, I first noticed that the On/Off printing had rubbed off within a few months of use. I then pasted an On/Off sticker over the original On/Off markings. I then placed clear tape over Start (the other high use button). The dishwasher’s filters and spray bars are easy to clean. The dishwasher does an excellent job of cleaning dishes.

Very quiet - like its not even on!

Nice Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After our 21 year old Bosch Dishwasher finally stopped working, we bought our new Bosch Dishwasher.
We like many of the new features such as the interior light when the door is open; the 3rd top shelf; the top style control buttons; the visual display on the front panel; the fact that you can customize the operation of the unit; easy installation; the super quietness of the unit while operating.
Hopefully, this Dishwasher will be as reliable as the Bosch Dishwasher it replaced.
