As smooth as it gets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This epilator comes with all the bells and whistles that you could ever want. It has a lot of different attachments and even works in the shower, no need to be tethered to an outlet. While it's not completely pain free, you do get used to the sensation and after a few uses, the pain isn't as bothersome. The Braun Silk epil 7 easily removed even the finest hairs. All in all, I would highly recommend this product.

How the Braun Silk-epil 7 changed my life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Braun Silk-epil 7 is amazing! I used to shave every single day (legs, arms, armpits) not to mention the waxing of my upper lip (once a week) which would always leave the area a beautiful shade of irritated for a couple days afterward. I as beyond excited to try this epilator but I had no idea what to expect. I let my hair grow out for a couple days I used it on my legs, underarm's, bikini, upper lip and arms. I have used an epilator before but wasn't able to touch my bikini area or my lip for fear of irritating the area. This epilator however has different attachments you can use for all areas of the body as well as two different speeds which really made it easy to remove hair from even the most sensitive areas.
Before getting this product you should know that the first time you use it will be the most painful, until your skin gets used to it. Also, I found it took a couple of times on large areas like my legs to get all the hair because I have really dark thick hair and it doesn't all grow at the same rate. I used it both dry and wet but I prefer to do it dry. Moisturizing afterwards is a must!
I am thrilled to tell you that now I stopped shaving and use the epilator twice a week or so. My arm pits are not irritated from shaving every day and my shower time has been greatly reduced because I don't have to shave. No more worries about having those nasty bumps on my bikini line when I go to the pool!! (I cannot tell you how excited I am about that) I have also noticed that the hair that grows back is softer and thinner than it was before, so even if I can't get to it right away it is barely noticeable. I highly recommend this product to all my friends and family!

Definitely an upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was most definitely an upgrade from the Braun epilator I purchased 6 years ago. While my old one was still going strong and used regularly, this new the cordless design is so convenient. I wish I had made the switch sooner! The trimmer is very handy as are the different attachments for more sensitive areas like underarms. Although it is safe to use the epilator in the shower, I found that it works much better dry. It seems to grab more hairs when everything is dry. While Braun seems to have consistently made a fantastic product, the Silk-epil 7 has all the extra attachments and the added convenience of being cordless and makes for an even more amazing product. The flexible head is great when epilating my legs. The pivoting really helps the epilator move along my leg and does a better job than the standard non-pivoting attachments that came with my old device. I didn't think the light feature would be a significant difference, but it is quite handy to get a better view of any spots I missed! I can't say enough great things about the Silk-epil 7 and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new epilator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This epilator is convenient that it's cordless for in or out of the shower. It has a lot of different attachments so I had to read and keep the directions so I know how to use them. Overall it got the job done

Braun Silk-épil 7 is the absolute best epilator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to wait to review until I had used the Braun Silk-épil 7 a couple of times. I've used another brand epilator in the past and had to give it up because it was way too painful. It comes with a storage bag, cleaning brush, multiple attachments to epilate just about anything, and the gorgeous sparkly epilator. For me, the two most incredible features of the Braun Silk-épil 7 is that it's cordless and can be used wet. Using the epilator wet has changed the game when it comes to epilating because while it's still a little painful (hello, you are yanking patches of hair out all at once) your pores are open allowing easier hair removal. I first used it on my underarms because I have to shave at least every other day and I despise it, holy cow that hurt but it's a sensitive area, the second time I did my underarms a week and a half later it wasn't nearly as painful. Next up were my legs, painful yes - there's no such thing as painless epilating - hair regrowth didn't begin to occur for two whole weeks! I have yet to try it on my face or bikini line but I'll work up to those areas. I do recommend epilating at night because your legs can become red and splotchy and you can use deodorant under your arms immediately after. All in all the Braun Silk-épil 7 is #1 in my book!

Not smooth lot of breakage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted Braun Silk Epil Super Soft when I was a teenager  (almost 10 years ago), it still works great and is in excellent condition. Braun Silk Epil 7 is my 2nd epilator and I was excited to know whether all the hype around it was true and did it actually lived up to its previous versions??
The packaging is sleek in black and the sparkly epilator excited the child inside me. I really like the shaver as an add on and now i dont need to use my husband's shaver. The shaver works great I used it for my pubic area as well as my underarms. It was easy to clean and impressed me. Also the light is great and helps in guiding especially near pubic area.
Now the actual epilator attachment did not impress me as much. When i first used it on my arm it was quite painful (I have thick hair and I shaved 2 weeks ago). I noticed that all the hair were not coming out and the epilator was actually breaking them instead of plucking them out from the root.
At this point I decided to get out my good 'ol supersoft silk Epil and decided to do a side by side.  To my surprise my old braun epilator did a smooth and clear epilation without any breakage. I then decided to remove the upper attacment from my new epilator and did direct epilation, this time it tugged on to the hair well with minimum breakage but still couldn't match the smoothness of my old epilator. Breakage of hair was caused even during wet usage. I am not quite satisfied with what this new Epil claims - removes finer hair that are not even removed in waxing.
I only like the shaver and wouldn't recommend the epilator to anyone because of not through pulling of hair from the root and breakage.

Excellent Results!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by stating two facts about myself:
1. I have very thick black hair on my legs
2. I've never been able to shave in the morning and still have silky smooth legs in the afternoon
If either of these situations describe you, this epilator is for you! I've been epilating for the last 20 years and have have an excellent track record with the quality of Braun epilators. This epilator does provide a relatively quick epilating experience with minimal pain. If you've never epilated before, don't assume this is a pain free experience, I can assure you, IT IS NOT! I was able to get a smooth epilation with even the shortest hairs. Most of the time, my hair is about 1/8" before I epilate. I did have to go over each area 3-4 times before all of the hairs were completely gone, but I've had to do that with every epilator I've ever used. Keep in mind that most epilators, including this one, don't perform well on blonde hairs. I have a few blonde hairs around my knees and I have better luck plucking those out because the epilator just can't seem to grasp them. I love the wet/dry feature of this epilator because it's really convenient to do a quick touch up in the shower if I see a few hairs that need to be removed. I typically do a full epilation every 10 -14 days (takes me about 30 minutes) with 1 to 2 quick (we're talking 2 minutes) touchups in between. If you have ever wanted to try epilating or are just looking for a new model, give this one a try! It's a keeper for me :)

First Time to Use the Braun Silk-épil 7
on September 18, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review explains my first experience with the Braun Silk-épil 7.
I have used a Braun epilator previous to this one, so I was somewhat familiar with the process--aka I knew it hurt and didn't let that affect my review. I don't blame this particular epilator for that. I was very impressed with the sleek design of the Silk 7. It fit my hand much better than previous models, and the LED light was very handy. I wish it was a little brighter though. I also liked that it came with all the attachments, brush, and bag.
I used this for the first time in the shower to try out the "wet" feature. The heat from the shower water helped soothe my legs a bit, but the water made this device much harder to use. It took me a good 30 minutes to remove the hair on only the bottom half of both my legs. I think the water making my legs slick made it harder for the epilator to keep a good grasp on my leg hairs. I eventually got frustrated on the back part of my leg and finished a swipe or two with my razor.
Overall, I liked that my hair was removed for much longer than normal shaving. I was not impressed with how this held up in the shower. The light feature was very nice, and the design is good...but I was not overly impressed with the epilator. I am going to wait until I try it dry to give a final review.
