For a pretty slim profile, this bag is packing.
I used my other Ogio backpack till the wheels fell off. Personal, work, travel, and everything in between. I didn't think I'd ever be able to replace it

Not as tough as older models

I bought this around 3 years ago. My old version of this model was a power sports company branded bag and it was tough as nails. It endured countless airline miles of carry on and under seat abuse. When I no longer was doing this kind of work I decided it was time for a new, not as obvious, color bag of the same model. I did enjoy the new features, especially the padded eyeglass pocket on top. My problem that I am having is with the laptop sleeve. I did notice the thin material as soon as I did the initial inspection. However, since the shock protection appeared very well done, I decided to ignore this. Now, after being extremely gently used compared to my original bag, with very few flights, the laptop sleeve has had the stitches come loose on one side at least 25% of the length. This does have a light weight 15 inch laptop taken in and out every day but no running through airports and getting abused like the original. This is very disappointing but the bag is still usable. I have about 2 1/2 years to go until retirement so we will see if it lasts. I would highly suggest Ogio use a thicker material and a heavier duty stitching. I love Ogio branded bags but if you are going to make changes, remember the do no harm mantra. A great reputation is hard to earn and a long time to acquire. A bad name can happen in the blink of an eye. Please don't blink!

Superb, Bulletproof (Almost!) Backpack

I needed to replace my old, battered decade-old OGIO backpack, which had served me well during daily work use as well as my on-board carry-on for a score of international and domestic flights. I wanted a backpack with similar features, and the Renegade RSS Laptop Backpack meets/exceeds that standard. After completing one international journey and one domestic trip, I am very pleased with how well this backpack protected my MacBook, Kindle, and multiple peripherals, plus my toilet kit, change of clothes, and snacks. The multiple pockets really help keep my stuff organized, and the internal "hard shell" kept my laptop from being crushed when a fellow traveler repeatedly mashed their oversized carry-on against it in the aircraft overhead bin. (My thanks to the alert flight attendant who stopped this doofus, and made him check his bag!)
I highly recommend this backpack for frequent travelers, or anyone requiring a higher level of protection and organization.

I've had this backpack over 1yr. It has stood up for the most part. There have been cross country flights (airports,planes) long road trips and uses as my primary carry backpack daily. There has been tearing on the main compartment next to the zipper up top. Otherwise all is good. My laptop or tablet goes in the very protective back section. Clips for my carry item fit in side pockets for daily travel. Phone accessories, note pad glasses . The top pocket is hard for glasses or small items tou want access to without having to dig.

I really wanted to like it, but couldn't!

I really wanted to like this backpack, but the carry straps are too short. I'm 6'0" and 210lbs, so I'm not overly big. I had the straps extended all the way out and the shoulder strap uncomfortably cut into my shoulder. The make and finish of the backpack was great, but I just couldn't deal with the fit. My High Sierra was way more comfortable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Backpack Ever - Survived a Motorcycle Crash

I bought this backpack about 8 years ago. Still works like the day I got it, after surviving a motorcycle accident with it on, the bag was fine and my work laptop inside was unscathed even though I rolled several times at highway speed. Use it everyday for work and bought a 2nd to use for vacation and trips.
