Overall very good pack

Overall I really like this bag. It’s is built very well. I like protective laptop case a lot. It isn’t a big as I expected it to be. Could have more space. The only issue I could see with this bag is sizing. I’m 6ft 200 LB’s and in good shape but by no means am I a big guy, this bag almost doesn’t fit me. I have the straps let out all but an inch and a half. I doubt this would fit anyone larger than me very comfortably.
Pros: well built, lots of padding, breaths well
Cons: small
I would recommend this to a friend!

Main compartment too small and imbalanced

I have this backpack for almost two years now and I wear it almost every day. It puts a lot of stress on the shoulders so after using for a few hours you feel tired and uncomfortable.
The only thing I really like about this bag is the laptop compartment. The main compartment is too small and if you put lots of stuff inside the backpack loses its shape and looks awful. Plus I don't know why, but when I wear it, the bag never stands straight on me, it's always leaning to one side or another, don't know if it's design problem or just me.
Pros: materials
Cons: size, space, weight, uncomfortable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

At the time of this review, I have not extensively used the product but have had the opportunity to load items into the pack and check out all of the compartments for functionality. This pairs well with the Layover as it slips over the pull handle and is the exact correct height. The variation of pockets allows a wide array of uses for items of differing sizes and keeps things well organized. The laptop compartment is very well protected and fits my 13.5" fine. At this time, there are only a couple downsides that I see. The lap top pocket does not open very wide, due to the short zipper and the rigid pocket assembly. If used for something other than a laptop, it will be difficult to put shorter items in and retrieve them. The rigid sunglass compartment shares the same issue with access due to the back pack handle limiting access. Overall this is a very nice pack and will work well for my needs.
Pros: good pocket layout, heavy duty material, great laptop pocket protection
Cons: laptop pocket could open larger, sunglass pocket could open larger and avoid handle

Have been an OGIO fan for quite some time now and absolutely love this backpack and was happy to add this backpack to my collection. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shoulder straps are a little too short for me. I'm no small dude and have the straps fully extended and they feel a little too snug.
Pros: sturdy, well built
Cons: shoulder straps too short

Excellent quality overall

The Renegade RSS Laptop Backpack is solid quality overall. There are plenty of pockets to store the smaller stuff. I bought it for my son who just started high school. The laptop compartment is great and functional and keeps it safe. For the amount of books he has to carry and keep in it, it would be nice if it was a bit larger overall; especially, since his school does not allow lockers this year due to the pandemic. Probably the biggest complaint is that the side pockets are barely big enough to store a small bottle of water. i personally own a half dozen different backpacks and they ALL have some sort of mesh pocket that allows for two large bottles of water. This is probably my biggest critique. My son runs cross country and carries a large bottle of water for sports and when in class. I would recommend OGIO take another run at their flagship bag and come up with something better in this area. I was going to buy one for myself but will be holding off until they come up with that. Aside from that, the OGIO quality is great.
Pros: quality, ability to customize name on bag
Cons: water bottle holders not big enough, could be a bit larger to hold more school books, not many ways to attach other items on the bag

As a realtor its a killer bag. My wife also just got one. She does mortgage lending and is the best at breaking things.
Now her spendy shades and way way to expensive lap top have a prayer. The lap top pocket really is quite sturdy.
Dirt bike, golf and now work gear. Love Ogio stuff...
Pros: looks cool, well placed pockets, quality construction
I would recommend this to a friend!
