Some great improvements with this model, and overall build is very robust. I like how the backpack is more stiff than my last Prospect Pro and stays upright while I am digging through it. The pocket arrangement is intuitive and enables better compartmentalization of stuff. However I am finding I can't fit as much in the main pocket of the Renegade RSS despite it having 2" larger depth listed. The laptop sleeve also barely fits my Dell 17" 5760 which is a comparatively thin 17" laptop with very thin bezel. The semi hard shell laptop pocket is really nice otherwise, the padded fabric pocket on my Prospect Pro was the first to begin wearing, most laptops have aluminum shells and chassis with sharp features these days. I like how the handle was kept over the center of weight on this model so it hangs mostly vertical. The side pocket beverage bottle holder designs still leave something to be desired, my bottles fall out of the Renegade RSS rather easily and the Prospect had side cargo straps which I was able to pass through the lid loop on my beverage containers, which I wish this one had. I also used those side cargo straps to hang my sweatshirt or jacket through when travelling for easy access.
I have used a backpack at least 20 or more days a week for the last 30 years for work and play. Needless to say I have torn through many. My Ogio backpack is the most durable, light weight and functional backpack every. I highly recommend that you toss all of your current backpacks away and get you an Ogio!

I've had this backpack for about 5yrs and it's been incredibly durable and always seems to have room for one more thing. Lots of pockets and it will stand up on its own which makes it easy to pack.
I would give it 5 stars if not for the spacer mesh material that comes into contact with your lower back. The nature of the mesh causes to make it act like a cheese grater against one's shirts and if you're wearing a t-shirt or polo shirt, your shirts will start to pill across your entire lower back after a few uses. Ogio should change this panel to be a less abrasive material

I really wanted to like it, but couldn't!

I really wanted to like this backpack, but the carry straps are too short. I'm 6'0" and 210lbs, so I'm not overly big. I had the straps extended all the way out and the shoulder strap uncomfortably cut into my shoulder. The make and finish of the backpack was great, but I just couldn't deal with the fit. My High Sierra was way more comfortable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very well made, has enough separate pockets that make it easy to keep my items organized and easily accessible.

This bag is amazing. I've had it for 5 years, and it's still going strong. My only disappointment is that the compartment isnt big enough to accommodate a 17.3" slim line laptop which is the most common in comparison to just the 17"
If OGIO were to bring out a revision that would accommodate a 17.3" laptop, I would buy it without hesitation
I would recommend this to a friend!

Seems to be constructed with general quality. Love all the storage space. The only complaint I have is that it's kinda tough to put on when I'm wearing my big heavy duty winter coat. I live in Minneapolis so the big coat is mandatory. Maybe give the straps a little extra length on the next round.
