My Refrigerator

This model looks amazing in my kitchen. It is enormous and can fit mass amounts of items. The only drawback is that the fan went out within 2 years. I replace it myself and has worked perfectly since. I recommend it if you want to stay within the less expensive ones.

Two months after warranty ends it stops working. We called and was basically told "Its to old". We can but a new one though.

Terrible quality

Terrible!!! Stainless steel finish should not rust!! Started rusting after just a few months and now it’s freezing everything! I’ve completely defrosted and dried it out but it keeps freezing in the refrigerator compartment. I’m very disappointed in the quality ☹️. I’m sure you’re very happy making tons of $ from hard working people just like all the other companies. The last thing I need is another expense or lost time dealing with poor quality especially for the price I paid.

Do not buy without an extended warranty

We have had constant issues with our refrigerator since we bought it. The mother board has been replaced, the fan has been replaced twice, the lights do not work, and it makes noises constantly.

A lemon from the get go!

If I could give this product zero stars that would probably be too good for this item. Since we got it, nothing but problems and repairs. Control panel, lighting , ice maker, freezing up, not cooling. Repairman came and told us this product has been a problem from production! GE as of yet has not been helpful!

Poor workmanship abounds

This product has been a disappointment from the very beginning. So many things have failed it is hard to know where to start.
Firstly it makes ice where it isn’t supposed to and doesn’t make it where it is supposed to. Ice behind the crisper trays. Ice on the seal of the ice maker door. Ice on the compressor fan. No ice in the lower ice maker. Ice won’t come out of upper ice maker.
And the ice in the upper ice maker won’t ever come out without opening system and adjusting ice. Finally the door latch broke off on the ice maker interior door.
This machine makes loud fan noises. I’m sure the fan will have a short life. The freezer drawer seal came loose and flops around. The top part of the fridge is too warm 56 degrees and the drawers freeze everything. The door drawers have cracked and will not support much now.
This is such a poorly made product I would be embarrassed to call it mine if I made it. Remember when fridges lasted? I do. This one isn’t even five years old. Model GFE28HSKISS serial sf513161. Can’t wait to buy a different brand. GE has lost my trust.
