Not exactly happy with my new refrigerator. It's been running non-stop for two days. I put a thermometer in it when it first arrived and the first morning it was down to 38º, but this morning it was only down to 43º and hadn't been opened since the night before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could have bought better

First is the freezer drawer handle. Have had service technicians come out to put it back on after falling off two times. Second, had we known that the water filter was so exclusively designed that one can only buy GE filters at an outrageous price we would not have purchased this fridge. Over all, things seem flimsy and cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was somewhat leery about going from a side-by-side to a bottom freezer based on available space, but we love our new bottom freezer model.

Nice looking refrigerator

Just installed this fridge yesterday. So far so good. Looks nice, quiet, cooled quickly, made ice within a short time of plugging it in. Really like the looks and it seems to work fine.

Fabulous change

Unfortunately I wrote a review 48 hours after delivery and wasn't impressed with how much it ran. I don't think I'd given it enough time to acclimatize. It's not noisy and is now maintaining the correct temperature - proven by my indoor/outdoor digital thermometer. The French door model was a big change for us from a side-by-side, but I absolutely love it. Never again will I have a frozen food item slide out and drop onto my foot! There are lights everywhere and there are no dark corners. It's easy to adjust the shelves to fit our food items. I ordered the dairy shelf and tip-out freezer door basket, plus a Whirlpool egg tray (sorry GE) and the refrigerator is now configured to our needs. The tip-out freezer basket holds small quantities of herbs and keeps them from getting lost and was a cinch to install. I was worried the refrigerator would stick out in the room too far, but because the side is two colors, it gives the illusion of not being bigger. Most of all, I love the slate finish. It goes so well with EVERYTHING in my kitchen, especially the granite coutertops. First time in my life I've bought all four pieces from one manufacturer. Absolutely loving everything.
