I love my printer but I wish a pamphlet came so I could do envelopes and labels. Can you direct me so that I can get a booklet on how I can achieve this goal.

This is a great printer

This is a great printer. I prefer to use it in the quiet mode, otherwise it can be noisy. It is faster than the printer it replaced. I like the file feed capability and the wireless printing and scanning.

Better than I expected!!

I purchased this printer due to my experience in the past with brother equipment. Being in the military I saw many brother products, especially printers and I have always taken notice of how well they survived even the abuse of soldiers. lol. I knew that if I wanted a printer that would last and produce an excellent product I had to go with Brother. I did spend more than I usually do for a home computer, but my wife and I are glad I did.

Very good printer.

Overall a very good machine except for a couple of minor things. First, the printer keeps going offline. Second, it doesn't always print when I hit the print button. I have to go to the printer and press the "restart printing" message on the printer screen.

The most challenging aspect was setting up the wireless access both on my phone and through a laptop. The wireless feature is great.
The printing speed is good as well as the overall quality. I am very satisfied with this printer. It`s a big improvement over my older printer.

A Welcome Addition to My Office

Working at home, I`ve had a long string of printer woes. I think it was partially because I bought fairly cheap ones. This printer is a definite step above what I`ve used before - from a price perspective but also in terms of features.
Though it comes in a huge box, it was easy to set up. It connected fine to my Mac. I was able to print and scan very easily and I was impressed by the quality of the output.
Probably my favorite thing is that I can print from my phone, which I could not do on other printers. I recommend anyone who wants a professional grade printer to try this one out.

Great office printer

As a graphic designer I constantly use different sizes and weights of papers, and also get through a great deal of ink. I was looking for a printer that could easily handle all these requirements with a minimum of drama. This printer not only offers all these capabilities, but has the added bonus of being able to scan up to 25 pages and send the results to the local computer or cloud-based hosting. As the owner of an elderly laser printer I was excited to see just what this printer could do.
Overall it was easy to set up. It was very heavy to maneuver while in the box, but easy to handle once extracted from the box - but beware, the printer is packed in very tightly and it takes patience to pull it out. The handles on the plastic packaging are an ingenious solution to help overcome this! I did read through the quick start instructions before I began and found they were clear and easy to follow.
Although the box states the printer is for use in both PC and Mac environments, as a Mac user it seems skewed towards a PC environment - particularly in the apps offered for storing scans - though Google Drive is a good cross platform option. I was able to go online, download the drivers and set up my iMac to print without issue. The recommended setting for the printer was at odds with the Mac defaults, so had to repeat the steps a couple of times until both halves would communicate reliably.
Printing is easy, and choosing whether to print in color or black and white is very straight forwards. The printer is clearly designed for an office environment where double sided letter sized paper would be the norm, so changing paper sizes is bit fiddly. For larger formats it means folding the output tray out of the way and resizing the paper tray to fit the new paper size. The output tray is also not designed to hold a quantity of larger sheets, so they curl up quite quickly. (I found it was best to let them drop to the floor.) On the plus side, the printer handled different weights of paper very easily and without scrumpling up the pages. In comparison with my old printer it also prints very quickly!
As I am very happy to find the option to print to the edge of the page, I tried printing some larger designs on tabloid paper. I found the colors printed slightly paler than I am used to, but this means it is great for reproducing shades and tones of color, such as watercolor prints. For general office use this slightly paler printing wouldn`t be an issue, but for accurate color representations, it is a negative. The ability to print to the edges of the page is however, absolutely wonderful!
I would recommend this printer to anyone with a home office as it will do all the essential tasks very well. I would even recommend it for designers, especially as the ink usage is a lot less than with a laser printer.

Brother Business Smart Plus Printer

Absolutely loved that this printer came with plenty of ink, not just enough to print a few pages! The printer was very easy to set up and connect to my laptop for wireless printing. The prints were great quality and I like being able to print on legal size paper too. All of this being said, the only thing that I was disappointed in, was the fact that it is not easy to scan directly to a recipient`s email. I can scan to my computer and forward at attachment on to someone, but I really want to be able to scan directly from the printer. My previous printer had this capability and I really found that to be valuable. I will continue to explore the features of this Smart Plus Printer, and hopefully will love it too! Great quality of printing, just need to work with using the functions!
