Great. Moves a tad bit slow for me when printing a big amount. Still learning product.

I have had several HP printers and this is my first Brother. I am surprised at the quality of the print work and the use of ink. I won't be going back to HP. Awesome printer.

Noisy and Poor Connectivity

Replaced our HP with a Brother to save ink costs. Fast prints, but have difficulties printing from multiple devices (2 laptops, tablets, phones.) No problem with low end HP. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this Brother MFC-J5830DW for several months now and I would highly recommend it. I'm both satisfied and content with it. I get more copies with this printer then I did with my Epson. I use this printer at home and it was worth the couple extra dollars I paid for it. For business or home use this is the printer you want.

Terrific Machine For Printing and Scanning

The MFC-J5830DW was easy to install on my home network and I immediately started using it for printing and scanning. Both printing and scanning were much faster than my previous machine. I am very pleased with this printer.

Efficiency

After buying a different brand which turned out to be inferior to my needs. I then purchased the Brother-MFS-J5830DW unit and discovered the ease of assembly, efficiency of printing, and quality of the print.

Great Printer

One of the features I wanted was secondary rear feed tray for printing a few pages of something other than what was in the main paper tray; this printer has that! Its print quality is very good if not excellent. I don't print pictures so I haven't tested that feature. It prints two sided documents faster than any printer I have ever owned. One interesting feature is: the paper sits in the paper tray with the long edge left to right instead of front to back; the paper comes out of the printer in that same orientation. Setup was very easy. If the ink yields are as stated by Brother, this will printer cheaper than most other printers. I highly recommend this printer to anyone who needs a multi-function printer.
