[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old downdraft range with the newer model and couldn’t be happier. Strong gas output, even baking, loving it as much as the one we had for 12 years prior.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use, Quality Construction

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this range is disappointing. My last range was a Jenn-Air dual fuel downdraft that I had for over 15 years and it was wonderful. I was expecting the same quality of this new range, but it is not nearly as nice. The cooktop has sturdy, heavy grates over the burners and there are various sizes of burners which is nice. However, there are two large burners in front and it would have been better if one of the large burners was in back so a pot of water could be boiling in back, while other foods that are cooked at a medium/low temperature could be upfront because not everything is cooked over a high heat. The brushed stainless surface under the burners is easily cleaned and looks good. The control panel is level with the cooking surface and is constantly covered with splattered food and grease which needs to be cleaned after every use. It is a horrible design and should be switched back to being above the oven. The oven is very slow to heat, but maintains the temperature well. It also takes a long time to cool down and has a fan running during that time which is annoying to hear for a long period of time. The design of the oven rack is nice since it has an area that can be grabbed easily to pull the rack out. The worse part of this range is the downdraft; which is the reason I bought the range. The downdraft is twice as loud as the old model and it barely pulls any air down. It is practically useless My smoke alarms are constantly going off because the downdraft simply doesn't do it's job. Overall, there are some poor design choices and engineering, all of which have contributed to my opinion that I would not recommend this range.
Pros: Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult To Clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Different from my Old Jenn Aire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the element in the stove of my 15 year old Jenn Air Pro Dual Fuel burned out, and I couldn’t find a new element, I decided to get a new Jenn Air. I love the fact that it is dual fuel. The racks in the oven are a great feature also. The down side is that the controls face up and not front. My old stove faced front. When someone leans on the stove they are pressing the controls. When warming up the oven, it is not quiet like my old stove.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use

Jenn-Aire down draft gas range with electric oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the gas cook top. The oven seems to bake a little cool. I dislike the placement of the controls. It’s hard to clean that area. This is our second range because the glass door in the first oven exploded into a zillion pieces and the timer on the first range never worked. Jenn-Aire offered to replace the range, which I appreciated, but we waited almost a year for the replacement.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Difficult To Clean

Mostly positive about this range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice range. Unfortunately, the oven in our last range that lasted 15 years died and I was under pressure to replace it ASAP. Dual fuel with downdraft is hard to find. I found this at a store over an hour away after a long search. It was the last one. The best part is it serves my needs. However, I would have preferred white (apparently white ranges are extinct in the dual fuel-downdraft world. This one is deeper than my last one and sticks out beyond my counter. I find keeping the top clean a challenge but dish detergent seems to do the trick. I clean as I go. I wish the burners were reversed with the large ones in the back. I haven't needed to clean the oven yet but I'm a little leery about how the moist cleaning will work. Long-story-short, if I hadn't been in a rush, I likely would have selected something else. However, with Whirlpool being the manufacturer of so many lines, it might have be difficult to get the features I would like. However, for now it answers my need.
Pros: Quality Construction
Cons: Difficult To Clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
