[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the element in the stove of my 15 year old Jenn Air Pro Dual Fuel burned out, and I couldn’t find a new element, I decided to get a new Jenn Air. I love the fact that it is dual fuel. The racks in the oven are a great feature also. The down side is that the controls face up and not front. My old stove faced front. When someone leans on the stove they are pressing the controls. When warming up the oven, it is not quiet like my old stove.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use

Jenn-Aire down draft gas range with electric oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the gas cook top. The oven seems to bake a little cool. I dislike the placement of the controls. It’s hard to clean that area. This is our second range because the glass door in the first oven exploded into a zillion pieces and the timer on the first range never worked. Jenn-Aire offered to replace the range, which I appreciated, but we waited almost a year for the replacement.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Difficult To Clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice range. Unfortunately, the oven in our last range that lasted 15 years died and I was under pressure to replace it ASAP. Dual fuel with downdraft is hard to find. I found this at a store over an hour away after a long search. It was the last one. The best part is it serves my needs. However, I would have preferred white (apparently white ranges are extinct in the dual fuel-downdraft world. This one is deeper than my last one and sticks out beyond my counter. I find keeping the top clean a challenge but dish detergent seems to do the trick. I clean as I go. I wish the burners were reversed with the large ones in the back. I haven't needed to clean the oven yet but I'm a little leery about how the moist cleaning will work. Long-story-short, if I hadn't been in a rush, I likely would have selected something else. However, with Whirlpool being the manufacturer of so many lines, it might have be difficult to get the features I would like. However, for now it answers my need.
Pros: Quality Construction
Cons: Difficult To Clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this stove for about a month and I’m enjoying cooking on gas again. The electric oven holds a consistent temp and I can bake again without guessing. It would have been nice to have had a choice in the finish. I like stainless steel but it is more difficult to keep clean and shiny. Need more down draft options.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use
Cons: Difficult To Clean

terrible design of stove top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] IT is obvious that whoever designed the stove top does not cook. 1. Two large burners are in the front. They are obviously used for large pots or pans. With them in that position, you cannot also utilize the back burners which are much smaller.
2. The smaller of the 2 small burners in back (on the left) is meant for "melting butter and chocolate". This is a total waste of a burner since it is not often that people melt butter or chocolate. Melting butter and chocolate is what a "double boiler" is made for and can be put on a regular burner. This burner has a very low BTU so is a total waste since it is not often that anyone needs such a low BTU.
3. The front of the stove top with the control dials to use for the burners protrudes straight out several inches. Therefore, when using the dials, your hands are very close to hot burners and pots. In contrast, an angled down design in front for the control knobs would allow the use of the dials without having your hands close to flames. In addition, the stainless steel stove top is very hard to wipe off (it is not slick but "rough")and the grates are very rough and difficult to clean off.
4. The oven does not heat correctly. I've had 2 service calls and it still doesn't work correctly so I have to "guess" how to set the oven temperature and watch it carefully. Baking cakes, cookies, etc. is prohibitive when the temperature is not correct.
4. I would like to talk to the engineers who designed this unit. I am stuck with it, but perhaps I can help others from purchasing this extremely poorly designed stove.
