Better downdraft than previous model
on July 21, 2022

Length of ownership:1 month
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a month ago as a replacement for the original downdraft model I installed in 2010. The downdraft is stronger and the oven capacity is larger, yay! I am glad they made the cast iron grates continuous across the downdraft vent. The main reason for not giving a 5 star rating was that cleaning the surface of the stove after meal prep is more difficult than previous models. You must remove all of the grates in order to clean under the center one due to the way the grates interlock. It would have been more logical to be able to remove the center one 1st, then whichever side needed to be cleaned, because you always need to clean under the middle one. Also the burner caps also need to be removed if you don't want them just knocked off every time you wipe the stove surface. Be sure to lock the control screen prior to cleaning as you must wipe across it to clean and it changes settings. Lastly, it would have been better to put the knobs and controls on the front, as opposed to top surface. As it is makes it more difficult to reach the cooking surface in a comfortable manner and you must be careful to not hit the knobs with the cooking vessels.
Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Construction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can’t adjust flame below low, things cook too hot!
I’m shorter 5’3” and with controls out front where they are it is difficult for me to cook on back burners.
Pros: Attractive Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old downdraft range with the newer model and couldn’t be happier. Strong gas output, even baking, loving it as much as the one we had for 12 years prior.

Disappointing

Length of ownership:1 year or longer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this range is disappointing. My last range was a Jenn-Air dual fuel downdraft that I had for over 15 years and it was wonderful. I was expecting the same quality of this new range, but it is not nearly as nice. The cooktop has sturdy, heavy grates over the burners and there are various sizes of burners which is nice. However, there are two large burners in front and it would have been better if one of the large burners was in back so a pot of water could be boiling in back, while other foods that are cooked at a medium/low temperature could be upfront because not everything is cooked over a high heat. The brushed stainless surface under the burners is easily cleaned and looks good. The control panel is level with the cooking surface and is constantly covered with splattered food and grease which needs to be cleaned after every use. It is a horrible design and should be switched back to being above the oven. The oven is very slow to heat, but maintains the temperature well. It also takes a long time to cool down and has a fan running during that time which is annoying to hear for a long period of time. The design of the oven rack is nice since it has an area that can be grabbed easily to pull the rack out. The worse part of this range is the downdraft; which is the reason I bought the range. The downdraft is twice as loud as the old model and it barely pulls any air down. It is practically useless My smoke alarms are constantly going off because the downdraft simply doesn't do it's job. Overall, there are some poor design choices and engineering, all of which have contributed to my opinion that I would not recommend this range.
Pros: Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult To Clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
