Second JennAir Stove Purchase After 23 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second version of this stove. The first one still worked after 23 years but the digital screen stopped working. I wouldn’t have thought of purchasing another stove!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Jenn Air downdraft stove. Not by choice, but due to size and exhaust limitations of my small kitchen. They are always making "improvements", but there are trade offs. Improvements: Four burners with full flame control from high to simmer instead of two burners set for grilling inside with no ability to simmer and terrible flame coverage for grilling (useless practically speaking). Therefore, I used to cook on one large burner and sometimes on one small burner for simmer. A problem with the new model is the exhaust fan is loud on low and high and it doesn't draw enough smoke out of the house. Cooking smells and smoke will fill the air and linger every time one tries to cook without turning on the fan (it doesn't turn on automatically). Haven't tried the new oven cleaning method. It looks questionable and other reviewers who have used that feature are not pleased. The stove is handsome looking. I've only had it six days.
Pros: Attractive Design, Compact, Quality Construction
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Hard To Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am limited to a downdraft stove because of the space and installation. So, this is my third JennAir. Good: this model has gotten rid of the grill whose burners were of no value because they didn't grill well and when used as burners you couldn't get a medium or simmer setting, only high. So I basically used only two burners, mostly one. Bad: the fan has two settings: high and low. Both are very loud. You must turn either one on manually, no automatic. AND you must have one on because cooking on the stove top creates a lot of smoke and food smells in the house. I haven't tried the oven cleaning yet. The reviews are not good. It's a new water treatment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this Duel fuel downdraft for 6 months now. The look of the unit is beautiful, however the bottom sheet metal shows every tiny ding. It arrived with a dent already in it and is very flimsy. Since this is fuel fuel the oven take about 15 mins to get to 350, and another 15 to get to 450. So I have to plan to turn on my oven 30 mins before I need it. The cooktop has the biggest burners in the front, so when I put a huge pot on the front, I can reach the small in the back, basically making this a 2 burner stove top. When you turn on the downdraft it pulls the flame towards the center, so your pan will only have flame on one side. Overall, it’s a nice range, however, I don’t think I would recommend.

Cons: Flimsy Construction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced an older model JennAir with this one due to the down draft exhaust feature. Enjoy the upgrades in newer design.
One challenge however, with the controls on top, we often accidently turn on something while cleaning. The exhaust fan is a favorite for this.

Slow to cool down
