[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still not totally set up as we waited a couple of months for the interior draft kit. Cancelled that and now will be venting through basement so that is to say, not all functions have been tried as yet. Plusses are - range top has has good heating elements.- very low to very high temp. Wish the control panel and knobs were front mounted rather than top mounted. Finger touch panel is very sensitive. It does a great job of baking so far as I have made several cakes and all have been perfect. One major complaint would be that the documentation discourages the use of oven/food thermometer probes which is a big disappointment since many dishes I prepare require the use of a probe. I would also say that it is designed with a taller person in mind as the smaller back burners are a reach. I am 5’1”. I was looking for function first, aesthetics second as it is important that the range works well for my needs.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use, Quality Construction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third slide-in Jenn-Air range with down draft I have had since 1990. The design is much inferior to the design of the first two. The controls are on top with giant knobs. Anything that is cooked splatters all over the control panel and knobs. You cannot clean any of the control area without turning on the "lock" feature or everything beeps. Trying to control the heat level on the top is very challenging and has lead to many ruined pancakes. There are no edges on the sides or backs so a gap exists between stove and counter unless an additional trim kit is purchased.
With very limited options for this type of range and since I had two Jenn-Airs previously, I went with this one. I would not purchase or recommend again. I have now had this one since February 6. For the amount of money these cost, I should have no complaints.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this brand new kitchen range failed to attain oven heat. The company stood behind the warranty, replacing a faulty control board. The unit has worked perfectly since. I'm very pleased with the new kitchen range.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought unit 1/13/23 to replace a 22 year old downdraft Jenn-Air that the relay went out on and there is no replacement part for. The unit is in an island. The installation took 3 days. This Jenn-Air's downdraft system was completely opposite of my old unit. Had to cut hole in floor and ceiling of basement to move vent pipe. Used it a couple times. Baked cookies great and worked well. We decided to have the island tile redone. So I turned unit off at breaker box while the tile guy was here. After tile was done I turned breaker back on. Now the down draft does not work. You can hear it humming, but that is it. Repair guy is coming out today.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] gets nice and hot, fast. Controls are hard to see, and a bit complicated. Oven works wonderfully. Downdraft is a bit better than the downdraft of the one we replaced. Expensive, but we needed a downdraft so as not to penetrate our log wall again with an over-the-stove fan. Wouldn't recommend it unless one needs a downdraft fan.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this model because of the downdraft feature and it has improved since my first downdraft some 20 years ago. I just wish the controls were not out in front.
