[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and after installing, I realized how sharp and pointy the corners are. I am always bumping them. The oven settings are in an inconvenient spot. Everytime I clean the stove I inadvertently turn on something - the oven light, the down draft and the oven. The stove is good but needs some design enhancements.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am impressed with how sleek this thing is and works. Installed myself and it works great. The cooktop heats up so fast and the buttons are almost like touchscreen buttons.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this beast of an appliance! It is beautiful and reliable. It is a bit hard to clean the surface when pots overflow. It is also very easy to accidentally activate the downdraft or timer when wiping the control panel, but other than that, I love this thing!
Pros: Convenient, Easy To Use, Quality Construction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Jen air downdraft. Lived my first one, but could no longer get parts. So we bought this one! Not happy that it isn’t self clean. Also don’t like clock and controls on top - can’t see without going right up to range! Already after a few weeks the glass top will not come clean- ugh! Way too much money for issues!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The current model is considerably deeper than the old one and sticks out. I thought that perhaps the counter top could be cut and the range pushed back, but the installer informed me that the ductwork would need to be completely redone. I also don't like the controls being on top of the range; it's too easy to accidentally start an action.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third Jenn Aire Downdraft. Examples of Poor Design: sharp corners, only one timer, easily marred surface, horizontal clock, extra cheap kick panel, burners reversed from earlier models (requires reaching across extra hot (big) burners), hard to grasp round knobs.
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Difficult To Clean, Hard To Use
