1. Timer and Convection oven are not connected. There is no way to start the oven and have it turned off via the timer.
2. Convection oven takes too long to preheat and preheating seems to be mandatory.
450 degree takes 10 -15 minutes to preheat.

3. Fan is very noisy when unit is on. In addition to fan, some other noisy makes it sound like a loose part inside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great look but not for every kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really was looking forward to using this but found out the hard way that the door wouldn't open because of our kitchen design. We had spent an hour mounting the microwave but could only open the door a few inches. We found that most Bosch appliances are designed for countertop to countertop not countertop to wall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just installed template 1/2 short

Spec sheet and wall template specify you need a 16 1/2 inch cutout. This is wrong you need a 17 inch height cutout.
