Horrible Purchase

If you want to spend $65 on ink every month, even if you don't print a single page, buy this machine. Also, if you want to print black and white only, but you're out of magenta ink, it won't print at all. The machine is will suck your wallet dry. Do not buy.

brand new- and now empty after cleaning

Im not sure if its the unti or the ink, but we are having to perform maintenance on this machine a lot- we print maybe 100 pages a month, we just ordered the color ink, I installed it on friday and now its empty.

Nice printer but ink goes to fast

Replaced all ink last Jan and now out of ink this Jan. I have only printed well under 100 pages and used more black only but all the color is gone.

We understand that you are unhappy with your purchase of the Brother LC-30173PKS cartridge pack and we'd like to help. One factor that will affect your color ink consumption is the cleaning cycle of the machine. The machine is designed to automatically flush and clean all the ink jet nozzles on a programmed schedule. This process can't be turned off or disabled. During the cleaning process, the machine draws out a small amount of ink to remove air bubbles from the cartridge and to remove dust and dried ink from the ink nozzles and channels. This not only ensures premium print quality but also ensures the life of the print head. Because of the ink jet technology, this process is common to all ink jet machines. Another factor that could be affecting your color ink consumption is the amount of printing from a computer, even if the print jobs are black only. Because this machine offers full color printing, the default setting in the print driver is color. This means the machine will automatically mix all the colors to produce a selected color, even black. Non-working authentic color cartridge

After the printer went through a self cleaning the yellow cartridge is not being recognized.

Ink Cartridge Dilemma

After loading the four new ink cartridges the yellow repeatedly indicate it was low or not inserted correctly. Eventually a friend found a You Tube site that provided the clue to the solution. It was very frustrating to not be able to print after purchasing the new cartridges.
