I bought it and I loved it since the moment I opened the box. It looks really stylish, more than i expected. It's light and small and fits perfectly in your pocket. It has a lot of cool features and is very easy to use. That's just the best point and shoot camera out there and you can impress with it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

this camera has a great kids feature to play a video and sound for my 6 month old's attention to get great pics easier as well as a screen in front to make easier to add the person to taking the picture in too
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Power Button/Software

The unit is good although the power button is too accessible and can be turned on/off by just basically handling the camera, can drain all ur power just by placing it in the case. The dual screen is a great feature. Cannot yet tell a difference between 14 Mpix & 16 Mpix. The included software for the PC is not very good. Final summary:wish it included better software and the power button activation was a "hold for 3 seconds" or double press.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, compact

Very good camera overall, some design flaws

The Samsung ST700 performs very well under most conditions, and takes clear, sharp pictures. The camera fits nicely into a jacket or pants pocket. When I needed Samsung customer service, the representative was helpful, pleasant, and efficient. I don't regret this purchase at all.
There are a few quibbles: 1. battery life is poor (discharges quickly in storage - Samsung sent me a replacement battery per the warranty, but there was no change in battery performance); 2. the power button is easy to press accidentally, especially when the camera is in the case (perhaps this is why the battery discharges in storage?); and 3. the shiny case and touchscreen are a magnet for fingerprints and smears.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, sharp pictures, above-average lens
Cons: poor battery life, mediocre case design

Overall great camera. The only complaint that I have is that the battery does not last very long at all, but I heard that it is to be expected with these types of cameras. It is also very easy to use.

The ST700 model is a great replacement for Samsung's previous non-touchscreen DualView camera models. This one has a lot more features including Magic Frames which lets you superimpose a preloaded frame while you take pictures. The lens is german made (a definite plus). Admittedly, the touch screen is not on par with most of the digital products out there today.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: screen not too sensitive

I would not recommend this camera to a friend unless they want blurry, yellowish pics. I have tons of other Samsung products (5 tvs washer dyer refri etc) and they wonderful. Cameras are not their department. i am getting a Samsung cell phone and we'll see what happens
