Great speaker with flexibility for an apartment!

I bought my first R-12SWi speaker 2 years ago for use in a large living room home theater system (Denon S910, 3.2.4) and added it to an existing wired subwoofer. We retired and moved into a large apartment. I bought new speakers and receiver and added a second R-12SWi. Assume bass with the new Denon X4700H and Outlaw 7000x 7 channel amp. New system is 7.2.4. These subwoofers are great because I can place them anywhere and not have to worry about wires on the floor! They look good and have a powerful bass sound.

R-12SWI SUB ADDITION

Picked up one of these R-12SWI subs and placed between a set of La Scala's AL5 and after a little time to adjust it sounds Sweet with a full rich sound of a concert. I was not sure the 12" sub would be able to kick it with the 15's but it fills that small void that the La Scala doesn't reach and does it with ease since we're talking 50hz - 29hz. Highly recommend to create that full sound in a Home stereo system. The Sub looks great as well.

Awesome Klipsch power

Solid subwoofer, clean bass, awesome all the way around. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about with the cabinet design maybe try getting it out of the corner and let it breath like it is supposed to and you might discover that awesome neighbors hate you floor rattling bass we all love from Klipsch!
Pure awesome product I plan on adding a second one because that will be crazy insane but in a good listening way. Easy to connect everything worked as it should. Klipsch just blows all the others away. I've owned Polk Audio and Bose in the past. Nothing comes close to Klipsch it just has it's own sound that is clean, sharp, and powerful.

I have it just one week ago. It is powerful and wireless it is fantastic... but from my perspective the acoustic enclosure could be improved to give more smoothness to the bass.

Great Subwoofer but switch issues

I purchased this sub and am very happy with it for the most part and is absolutely sounds amazing with the bar 48 and the klipsch satellite speakers I added as well. However the switch for the on/auto/off broke off. Fortunately for me I was able to get it in the on position and now im not able to move it anymore. Nothing has hit this area of the sub as it's in the corner where it can't be moved or banged on. When I went to switch the sub to auto while adjusting and one click down the switch broke off. I'm not sure if this I covered by warranty or not but that would be amazing being how I live all my klipsch products and would love for this unit to be perfect just like the rest that I have! I Hopefully I will receive a response from this review and things can get back to "perfect!"

Garbage after 2 years. Never worked since day one

Bought this to add to my bar 48 soundbar since that soundbar comes with an additional sub output. I initially purchased a wired sub and had no issues other that I got sick of seeing the rca cables so I repurposed that sub into another system. Now the r-12swi started to have connections issues almost immediately. Like once every few weeks I would have to power cycle the sub to regain connection. Unplug and plug it back it. Nothing overly bothersome as access to sun is super easy. But now after 2 years it just does what it wants. If I power cycle it it may gain connectivity for 1 minute to a few hours. And it will intermittently connect and disconnect with no warning or pattern or cause. It’s 11 feet away from the transmitter and both transmitter and sub(receiver) are in direct line of sight of each other in an otherwise empty room. Tv coffee table couch. I’m upset that after spending thousands on many klipsch systems in my home and my gfs home and my other home that klipsch offers no help or assistance or anything. Their expectation is that two years of marginal functionality is all they expect from their products. Time to switch brands.

Guess I'll start by saying I have a 2400 watt system in my vehicle w/2 twelve " competition subs in a 5 cubes ft ported box @1 ohm. Comparing anything to that is just not anywhere close because of the small area and power.. So I've been a sound guru all my life. To me the R12SWi is a great addition for home theatre, watching movies but it lacks when it comes to some songs which is normal and basically the same all around regardless of what you have unless you have a fine tuned enclosure made to perform at whatever it is you listen to. Does it hit like my 12" s @30hz and sound like the end of the world when the bass drops no but it's sure excellent when watching movies. Makes everything realistic like. I compare everything to my car audio because that's what I use most of the time. I think it could be improved.. But for what it is it definitely is not bad and I say it's near excellent but not quite there just yet. I recommend anyone who has a powerful system in their vehicle to maybe get two of these 12s. I think things would sound much better using a pair of these vs only one. Depends on the room, placement, what else is playing with it... All in all it's a great and really nice looking speaker that's boosts the reality of movies quite a bit. Get two.
