I bought this from Microsoft and ran back to buy 2 more! way better than a chrome book! I added 128 gb Micro Sd to each one for differnt family members. I connect in any hotel now to their monitor and have a full PC. My kid took this to university for their dorm... Bought a 40 inch TV instead of a PC. Am I ever the hero in his mind!
PRO: Size, Win 10,portable...simple CON: No built in Wireless Keyboard?, I bough a K400 Logitech-Perfect. Really needs more usb ports Wiring to Power is awkward. USB and Power should run Linear ( Design update?) Processor: would like to see an i3 or i5 for $ 100 price point? Memory: 2 GB lacking on Win 10 $gb minimum suggested. 32 GB vs 64/128? all the same physical size? why skimp if windows 10 uses up 11 GB? Again $ 20 for 64 makes more sense.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An absolute buy! BUT a few things first!

I bought the ideacenter stick in 2015. When I go it I absolutely couldn't wait to use it!! Once I did the entire setup, everything was running smoothly. The next step was to connect it to the internet! For some reason it wasn't connecting and when it did it was running terribly slow! I searched all over the place to find someone who ran into the same problem as I did, but no one was able to help! So here are 2 solutions that I found to get it to work!
My TV was in the basement (but my cellphone wifi strength was very high) and therefore after giving up for a few days I decided to try my cell phones signal near the 300 stick. Load and behold it was placed in a dead zone. Once I moved it to a better location it was working 100%
Second issue, because I moved, I ran into was that it doesn't have dual band (2GHz and 5GHz). So, the stick would connect to my house 2GHz and thankfully, my internet provider had to change a connection in the coaxial. Once that was changed everything was working great again!
So, hopefully those of you who run into these sort of problems, now you know!
I love this product! it is running great! and I couldn't be any happier! :D
