I actually purchased two of these to replace three older 27" monitors and to get better resolution. The color is outstanding and they are much lighter than I expected. They worked perfectly out of the box and the added USB ports on the monitors save a lot of cable junk everywhere. Not cheap, but not cheap for a reason.

I puchased two of these monitors about two weeks ago, not for gaming, but for enhanced real estate to have multiple applications up and running without having to minimize things or shift everything around. I didn't quite realize just how much extra viewing space I would have until they arrived. Wow! I don't think I will ever need another set of monitors in my lifetime. It was probably overkill but I don't regret having these two beauties up and running side by side. And to say it is an immersive experience with the two of them is an understatement. Didn't think I would like/want the curved display but I'm sorry now that I waited this long to get one.
Setup was a snap. The biggest problem was me trying to figure out which ports to plug the monitors into on my relatively high end video card (not HP's fault). After that, everything worked together easily and quickly.
There are plenty of configuration options for these monitors that were probably wasted on me, but I'm sure that the gamers and other advanced users will appreciate all of the options. The display clarity, sharpness, response, and beautiful rendition of colors is impressive and I have not seen any distortion or degradation of the display at the edges.
A little expensive? Yes. Worth the price? Every penny!

Amazing monitor coverage... just one complaint

Ordering process was easy from HP, delivery was quick and everything arrived fine. The box is HUGE (as is the monitor). It was easy to set up - the only issue that I had which I could have anticipated better was that to take advantage of G-Sync you must use a displayport cable. The one that comes with the monitor is full size (displayport to display port) but my Alienware laptop has a mini port so I had to buy another cable. Again, setup and operation was quite easy, the widescreen is just fantastic - its like running 2 monitors side by side without any of the drawbacks associated with that setup. My only real complaint is that the white display is rather off - noticeably so. I cannot complain about anything else but having a document screen or drafting an email is is very noticeable you are not working on anything resembling a bright white. I have had no bleed, no stuttering, no ghosting, no issues at all. I really do love having this monitor. It looks and performs quite impressively.
