A Great Smart Phone

I purchaded the S5 around Christmas 2014, the 1st phone malfunctioned, it may have been my lack of experience but it was exchanged with no problem at all , thanks !
Being new to smart phones the learning curve was long, but as I learned to use all the features of this little beauty it has become an extention of me ! Just when I ghink I have learned everything I cind a new feature that helps me even more. From communications with my growing family, text ,pictures & talk to appointment reminders to automatically locating WiFi hot spots and so much more. This is truly a technical marvel. ! Samsung apps and support are first rate and always ready to assist, friendly too ! My only disappointment with the phone is it's white, but my Otter protective ase took care of that, lol. The ear buds that came with this phone are the most comfortable I have ever used, they don't bother me as others have in the past, I use them for hours on end listening to music provided by Samsung Milk, a great music app. And I can do multiple different functions while listening to the music stations I assembled, what I like to listen to. It's a great phone and so much more, if you don't have a Samsung Galaxy, get one !

Best Phone I've Owned

I've really enjoyed the battery life on this phone--it's the best of all Samsung phones I've owned. And you really just cannot go bad with an Android phone. AND IT'S WATERPROOF. Can we just revel in that beauty for a second?

The Samsung S-5 has good features and is fairly easy to use. Needs improvement on the fingerprint recognition used to logon to phone. Very hard for it to recognize my fingerprint .
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: expensive

Upgraded from the S3 and it's everything I expected and more. It was an easy transition and love how fast the peformance is, how customizable it is and especially the camera! I would definitely recommend sticking with Samsung products.

Great until Adroid 5 upgade

The Galaxy S 5 was a real step up from my Galaxy S II. Light weight, great battery run time, beautiful screen and it ran all the apps that I wanted.
But then Android 5 came out. It changed several interfaces that I had grown accustomed to. But the worst thing is the crashing apps. I get notices that the app closed from Contacts, S Health, AccuWeather+, etc. Right now the "Voicemail pending" notification icon from Voicemail is in the status bar and going to voicemail will not clear it.
I'm sure they'll eventually fix these issues so I would still recommend the S 5 to a friend.

barely any good cases out there and contacts always quiting and a bunch other apps shut down.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
